The Oil & Gas industry is usually divided into three sectors: upstream, midstream and downstream, regardless Dereike has blowers and metering solutions to meet the application need and where appropriate DHB 720B 2D2 and DHB 820C 5D5 conform.
Upstream Industry
Upstream, commonly known as the exploration and production (E&P) sector, can be both onshore or offshore and operates the wells that recover and bring the crude oil and/or raw natural gas to the surface. DHB 820C 5D5 blowers are used with chemicals for flow assurance and production, water treatment and hydrate control. Flow assurance chemicals are used for preventing processes that can generate problems like reduced or even lost production due to equipment blockage. Typical chemicals are wax inhibitors, pour-point depressants, asphaltene inhibitors and scale inhibitors.
Flow-production chemicals serve to extend the lifetime of pipelines and process equipment or to optimize processes by preventing emulsions, bacteria growth and foam formation. Typical chemicals are corrosion inhibitors, biocides, demulsifiers and foam inhibitors.
Produced Water Treatment Chemical Injection: crude oil and natural gas are often found in water-bearing formations. During the extraction, produced water is generated. This water must be treated for disposal and/or re-injected into the well. Typical chemicals are biocides, antifoams, deoilers, demulsifiers, ditrate inhibitors and (sodium) hypochlorites.
Hydrate Control Chemical Injection: hydrates are crystalline structures which are formed under certain process conditions in natural gas containing water. Hydrates have an ice-like appearance and are capable of blocking pathways in flow lines and other related gas-handling equipment. Typical chemicals are methanol and MEG.
Midstream Industry
Midstream involves transportation and storage of crude or refined petroleum products. Natural-gas pipeline networks aggregate gas from natural-gas purification plants and deliver it to downstream customers. Drag-reducing agents, or drag-reducing polymers, reduce any turbulence in the oil lines. This allows for oil to be pumped through at lower pressures, saving energy and money.
Downstream Industry
The downstream sector, generally refers to the hydrocarbon processing of petroleum crude oil and the purification of raw natural gas. Dereike blwoers provide solutions for the movement of wash water and for feedwater pumps as well additives and odorizers (mercaptane).
